Jablonec nad Nisou is a picturesque town in northern Bohemia, with a population of about 50,000. The town is set in a green valley where the little River Nisa flows, 500 m above sea level. The orientation of the town centre is very easy, because it is built on three squares, one above the other. People have been able to admire the fragile beauty of the glass production and jewellery industry here for years. There are many interesting places to visit, and many houses with outstanding and unique architecture. The most common being neo- renaissance style, art nouveau, and functionalism.
